AIGA has a commitment to public good, social impact, and civic engagement by demonstrating design’s problem-solving value while reinforcing AIGA’s leadership and influence. The Design Impact Team identifies opportunities where we can show up in the Indianapolis community and make an impact or educate others about the value of design. We do that through events like Design thinking for Kids, GUTS, and group discussions about neighborhood issues. If you’re constantly looking around you and thinking about how design can make this city a better place, this is the right committee for you.

  • The Design for Impact Outreach Associate should take responsibility in driving events hosted by the Design for Impact team, including the planning, execution, and follow up of events
    • Identifying volunteers/board members who can help with events that are planned
    • Build a plan for execution for these events
    • Build social media/email/promotional campaigns (and communicating that to the Comm team) for upcoming events
    • Establish a standard plan to cover the events we host. (photos, fb live, onsite testimonials, etc.)
    • Establish a protocol for following up with people after events
  • Maintains the Creative Community Calendar & works with the communication team to develop a branded monthly outreach campaign
