Where do you work/go to school?

I work as an interaction designer at Allegion in Carmel, IN. I went to the School of Informatics at IUPUI.

Favorite program/tools to use for designing?

Figma, the entire Adobe Suite, and Webflow.

Design hero?

Aaron Draplin – purely because his designs start as simple shapes and become fantastic pieces that you would never think were built out of simple shapes.

Favorite thing to do outside of work?

I love going to baseball games, local or national. A goal of mine is to go to every MLB park before I die.  I also love to try new restaurants and spending downtime shooting nature photography.

Favorite place in Indy?

Victory Field and Candado’s tacos on Mass Ave.

How and why did you get involved with AIGA? Approximately how long have you been involved with the organization?

I had kept up with the AIGA Indy blog since I was in college but I officially became a member in 2018.

What are you currently working on?

I currently working as an interaction designer for Allegion on their software products, specifically around tools for those in the architecture and construction industry.  There are so many various tools that they use that do not complete a full job process and are inconsistent, so our goal is to create a single source of truth for the life cycle of a building; from concept to creation.

Any projects you want to highlight?

One specific software product I have been involved with at Allegion has been the design and development of Overtur.  We have also moved into the mobile realm with a mobile app as well.
