AIGA Indy PreFlight: Lightning Round Creative Connect + Portfolio Review

AIGA Indy has designed this event for students and early career creative professionals looking to refine their work, improve their interviewing skills, and network with industry pros.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your work to the next level, this session offers personalized feedback, constructive critiques, and tips for growth.

Throughout the morning, you'll have 15 minute sessions with 8 different creative professionals where you can get feedback on your work, ask for interviewing tips and career advice, or just network.

How it works

Students will be seated at tables (with optional space for their portfolios). Reviewers rotate every 15 minutes. Each participant will get feedback from a diverse group of pros in a short time.

Bring your work, questions, and an open mind—it’s a collaborative, supportive environment where learning and growth are at the forefront.

Who should sign up for the event?

PORTFOLIO REVIEW INSTRUCTIONS

Work can be set up in physical projects (printed pieces) or digitally from a tablet/computer (please bring your laptops/tablets).

If you have a device to present with, your work can also be presented in a portfolio book format or presentation slides.

Be prepared to explain your projects and walk through your process with reviewers.

If you have your resume, please bring physical copies (they are easier to mark up)

We highly recommend bringing business or digital cards to connect with fellow designers!

15 minute sessions will fly by, we recommend bringing 1-2 projects/case studies to discuss and a pen and paper for critique notes.

Be ready to ask questions pertaining to a specific field and interview processes.

Please wear business casual attire.
