This spring AIGA Indy presents the annual Portfolio Review as a resource to students and up-and-coming designers all around the Indianapolis area. High Alpha is hosting our event in their amazing studio space in Mass Ave's Bottleworks area. This is an awesome opportunity for designers to network in their field and receive considered and constructive feedback on their work. During this event, students will be able to connect with design professionals, gain valuable perspective, and ask questions specific to their job search. Come join us as we strengthen our local up-and-coming designers with a helpful portfolio review!

Details:

Students/up-and-coming designers will set up their work (computer, portfolio, business cards, and/or physical projects, etc.) at provided tables and meet with design professionals for three 30 minute feedback sessions. In each session, you will have the chance to dig into specific projects, ask questions about the design field, and strengthen your portfolio with helpful feedback. After the main sessions are over, there will be an open panel of professionals for broader career or design related questions. A helpful guide and agenda will be provided prior to the event for additional clarity.

Specific Portfolio Instructions:

Work can be set up in physical projects (printed pieces) or digitally from a tablet/computer (not provided). Your work can also be presented in a portfolio book format or presentation slides if you have a device to present with. Be prepared to explain your projects and walk through your process with reviewers. You're also welcome to bring business cards to connect with fellow designers!

We recommend that you bring 3-15 projects to discuss, a pen/paper for critique notes, questions pertaining to a specific design field, and wear business casual attire.
