SHE IS ART : Exploring How Black Women Influence Art & Culture

In honor of Juneteenth, She is Art is a dynamic celebration spotlighting Black women's powerful legacy and contemporary brilliance in the arts. This event uplifts the voices, visions, and contributions of Black women as vital cultural architects, creative pioneers, and storytellers within the Black community and beyond.

As we commemorate freedom and reflect on the ongoing journey toward equity and recognition, this event centers Black women not only as contributors to art, but as a driving force behind cultural expression, social change, and generational inspiration. Join us in celebrating their artistry, amplifying their stories, and affirming their place at the heart of Black creative excellence.

You will be engaging in group discussions to reflect on art in the black community and the importance it plays in black culture. These group discussions will lead into a larger discussion that we will have with our three featured artists, Amiah Mims, Ashley Nora, and Phyllicia Carr.
