Describe yourself in one sentence.
I am extremely blunt with tact, have cat-like social tendencies, and live for thrift shopping and seasonal outdoor adventures.
Where do you work/go to school?
I graduated from Taylor University this past May with a BA in Graphic Design. I currently work at Herff Jones in the Prepress Department.
Favorite program/tools to use for designing?
I really love the structure of InDesign. However, I prefer to do most things by hand first. Procreate is my new captivation though.
Design hero?
Alphonse Mucha is definitely my first design love. I also have a huge love for the painting techniques of Iris Scott and the compositions of Henn Kim.
Favorite thing to do outside of work?
Hiking, skiing, and watching cartoons.
Favorite place in Indy?
Still pretty new to town, but Hopcat and Nine Lives Cat Cafe are strong favorites. As well as Indy Reads Books.
How and why did you get involved with AIGA? Approximately how long have you been involved with the organization?
I was introduced to it by my mentors at college. Been a member for about 2-3 years.
What are you currently working on?
I am currently very focused on my work at Herff, however, I am trying to get very acquainted with procreate and other digital drawing programs.
Any projects you want to highlight?
I have really loved working on any of my apparel/screen-printing projects. I also put a lot of myself into a European folklore study, specifically a painting focusing on Baba Yaga’s house.
