Describe yourself in one sentence.
I am Charlie Brown: I care what people think, I care about others, and I say good grief way too much.
Where do you work/go to school?
I work for Moser Consulting as a Graphic Design Specialist.
Favorite program/tools to use for designing?
I don’t get to use it much at work, but I am in love with Procreate for iPad Pro. It’s a fun, and still kind of new, program in which you constantly learn as you go. Fun fact: I’ve learned recently that I’ve been using the left-handed settings for a good 3 years now…I’m right-handed and I’m not changing it.
Design hero?
Christoph Niemann – that man knows how to have fun! If you haven’t heard of him, look up “Sunday Sketching.”
Favorite thing to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I love to draw, watch Netflix/Hulu, and hang out with my cats all at the same time.
Favorite place in Indy?
The Canal.
How and why did you get involved with AIGA? Approximately how long have you been involved with the organization?
I got involved with AIGA because I wanted to meet other designers, to seek job opportunities, and I like staying busy, so I made up my mind that I was going to to eventually join the board. I went to a few events, applied for a board position (I wasn’t a fit at that moment), ended up volunteering on the social media team for a few months, and then became a part of the AIGA Indy Communications team! I’ve been an AIGA member a little over a year now.
Note: I have met a lot of other wonderful designers and I landed a job partially thanks to connections made through AIGA.
What are you currently working on?
I’m currently working on illustrating a children’s book about one of my cats!
